Professional Background
With over a decade of experience in the Australian financial services sector, I have cultivated a diverse skill set encompassing internal audit, risk management, compliance, and governance. My career has taken me from innovative start-ups to some of Australia's most established institutions, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of financial processes, systems, and regulatory frameworks.
Throughout my professional journey, I have:
- Developed and implemented revenue assurance strategies for major companies
- Led internal audit teams and executed end-to-end audit processes
- Managed compliance assessments and provided guidance on risk management
- Contributed to process improvements and system optimizations
My expertise is underpinned by a strong educational foundation, including a Master of International Business and a double degree in Commerce (Banking) and International Business. I've further enhanced my qualifications with RG146 (General Advice) certification and a Certificate III in Financial Services (FNS30115).
The Blockchain Awakening
My fascination with blockchain technology began in 2009, coinciding with my university graduation and the aftermath of the 2008 Global Financial Crisis. As a fresh graduate in banking during a time of economic turmoil, I found myself drawn to the concept of a more equitable and transparent financial system.This curiosity led me to set up my first Bitcoin mining operation on a humble laptop. While I didn't foresee Bitcoin's meteoric rise to $100,000, I was intrigued by the potential to earn through computational power. Despite not holding onto my early Bitcoin earnings, this experience planted a seed that would later flourish into a passionate pursuit.
From Hobby to Profession
In 2018, I rekindled my interest in cryptocurrencies, beginning with small investments in Bitcoin. This marked the start of an intensive learning journey, exploring various tokens, from utility coins to meme-inspired cryptocurrencies. Along the way, I encountered the typical pitfalls of the crypto world – scams, market volatility, and even a smart contract mishap that drained my wallet.However, these setbacks only fueled my determination to understand and master the intricacies of blockchain technology. What began as a savings strategy evolved into a deep dive into the transformative potential of decentralized networks and the empowering nature of DeFi (Decentralized Finance).

As my knowledge and experience in the blockchain space grew, so did the inquiries from friends and colleagues seeking guidance on cryptocurrency investments and blockchain applications.
